Whether it’s heartbreak, the loss of a loved one, losing a job, a missed opportunity, waiting for something your heart longs for, or simply the weight of life not turning out the way you hoped… pain shows up in different forms.
And sometimes, it shows up all at once.
There is a kind of pain that is easy to explain. You can point to it, name it, tell someone exactly what happened.
But there is another kind of pain, the kind that sits deep within you, that you can’t even put into words.
If someone asks you, “What’s wrong?”
You don’t even know what to say.
You just know you’re hurting.
Some pain runs so deep it feels like it cuts through bone and marrow.
Some comes from betrayal.
Some from disappointment.
Some from hopes that never became reality.
And some… you can’t even explain out loud.
There are moments when all you can do is cry.
Not the quiet kind of tears.
But the kind where you cry so hard you wonder if there are any tears left in you…
And yet, they keep coming.
Have you ever cried so much that you pause and think,
“How am I still crying?”
That’s what pain can do.
And sometimes, the hardest part isn’t even the pain itself.
It’s the loneliness.
The kind of pain where there is no one to talk to.
No shoulder to lean on.
No one to say, “I see you.”
No one to sit with you in it.
That kind of pain is heavy.
Because now, you’re not just carrying pain… you’re carrying it alone.
But here is something I want you to remember:
You are not alone.
It may feel like it.
It may look like everyone else is fine, laughing, smiling, living their lives.
But behind closed doors, in quiet rooms, many people are fighting battles you cannot see.
There is so much pain in this world.
More than we realize.
So if you feel like you’re the only one struggling…
you’re not.
And yet, even in the middle of all this, life doesn’t pause.
You still have to show up.
Show up to work.
Show up for people.
Show up as a friend, a parent, a partner, a leader.
You carry all that weight…
and still wear a brave face.
That alone is a lot.
Recently, I read a scripture:
“Come unto me, all ye that are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
And I’ll be honest, sometimes it doesn’t feel like rest comes.
You read it.
You believe it.
But the pain is still there.
But here’s the one thing I’m holding on to:
God sees you.
Even if you don’t feel the comfort immediately, there is something powerful about knowing that you are not invisible.
That there is Someone who understands.
Someone who sees the pain you can’t explain.
Someone who knows what you’re carrying, even when no one else does.
Jesus Himself knew pain.
He felt it deeply.
He carried it.
So this pain you’re feeling?
It’s not foreign to Him.
And maybe, just maybe…
that awareness is where healing begins.
Not in everything suddenly becoming okay.
Not in instant joy or relief.
But in knowing:
“I am seen.”
So if you’re in that place right now, hurting, tired, overwhelmed
Lean on Him.
Even if it’s messy.
Even if it’s just silence.
Even if all you can do is sit there and breathe.
You don’t have to have the right words.
I won’t tell you that the pain will disappear overnight.
I won’t tell you that tomorrow everything will be fine.
But I will say this:
The sun will shine again.
One day, you’ll look back and realize “I made it through.”
Maybe the pain won’t fully make sense.
Maybe it will still hurt to remember.
But you will see that you survived it.
And until then,
Hold on to this:
